Fair warning, I’m writing this while sick. I caught something the other day and haven’t quite kicked it yet.
So, I hate this.

I know it has been a wait for fans of The Witch-Doctor, but I’m happy to announce that a brand new teaser episode will be up for your listening pleasure in the next few weeks.
For those who haven’t kept up, after Episode 33: Soothspring, I moved house. It was also around this time that I hooked up with the folks working on the transmedia, collaborative mythos of the Fallen Cycle, and The Witch-Doctor entered into said mythos.
It was around the time of the move that I realized The Witch-Doctor was in desperate need of a re-write and re-recording. I loved many of the older episodes, but I felt I could do so much more, and so the podcast was put on hiatus.
In addition, it has taken some time to figure out how to record the new episodes while retaining optimal quality. Moving was a hectic and arduous task, as it usually is, and it’s taken me a few months to get my life back in order.
All current “first-draft” episodes are up (here), and will remain up until the new episodes start airing.
Meaning that when the teaser episode goes up, all of the current episodes available will no long show up where you are used to finding them.
The first-draft episodes will however be available to Witch-Doctor fans who want them or feel they need them, and I will make sure to list them as “bonus content” available for purchase, for an extremely low price (probably a few dollars).
I’ll make sure to let you folks know whats up.
For everyone who doesn’t want to pay for old material, the new second-draft episodes of The Witch-Doctor will be free, so you won’t miss out on the story, and it will be a new story, despite revisiting old territory.
Plot, characters, setting, all things are susceptible to some amount of alteration in the re-write.
Unfortunately even though I was prepared to start recording today even though I’m sick, there were some issues.
Unlike where I lived previously, I am going to have to build myself a sort of recording area. Traffic, household noises, and of course pets are complications that I didn’t have to deal with before moving, due to my recording location.
Regardless, within the next couple of weeks I am going to release a teaser episode from the revamped and totally new batch of Witch-Doctor episodes.
